Last week was a powerful and insightful few days at Tobacco Science Research Conference (TSRC)! A heartfelt thank you to TSRC for an outstanding conference that challenged us, connected us, and inspired us. From the thoughtful sessions to the lively discussions, every element drove home just how much can be achieved when brilliant minds come together.
We’re proud to share that FOUR ARAC abstracts were accepted for presentation at this year’s Tobacco Science Research Conference (TSRC) — a testament to our team’s dedication to advancing science that informs both regulators and the broader public health community.
On stage, our researchers highlighted key insights across multiple dimensions of behavioral and clinical science:
• The Consumer Journey: Outcome Patterns Among Adult Smokers After an 8-Month Switching Study
• Clinical Behavioral Studies: Key Learnings and Insights from the Field
Our Clinical Research Team shared practical lessons from running complex studies in real-world settings, including recruitment, retention, and data collection challenges — all of which shape the quality and reliability of evidence submitted to regulators.
• The Power of Flavor Choice: Evidence from Randomized Experimental Switching Studies on Flavored ENDs
Data from controlled studies confirmed what consumers already know... flavors matter. Flavor variety plays a measurable role in facilitating smokers’ transition away from cigarettes, which has critical implications for product regulation, availability and selection; improving end-point health outcomes; and the attainment of public health goals
• Where Population-Level Health Benefit is Often Forgotten: The Individual Journeys of Heavy, Exclusive Smokers Switching to Glas Age-Gated ENDS Device in a 3-month Switching Study
This presentation reminded us that behind every statistic is a human story. Even short-term switching data highlight the profound impact that alternative products can have on the lives of heavy smokers who struggle to quit.
Beyond the science, being onsite allowed our ARAC team to reconnect with old friends and colleagues, spark new partnerships, and stay current on recent developments in regulatory science shaping our industry.
Special THANKS to the TSRC Editorial Committee and Creekwood Event Services (Carrie Zaklikowski, CMP) for all their efforts to coordinate a successful conference. We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such an important scientific dialogue — and to our ARAC team for their rigor, creativity, and passion in driving this work forward.
