Join ARAC & Global Action in NYC!

Join ARAC and Global Action to End Smoking (GA) in New York City TONIGHT at the Harvard Club of New York City. This event aims to highlight the potential of integrating tobacco harm reduction into the clinical setting, focusing on the role of clinicians in educating patients about reduced-risk products and helping them QUIT SMOKING.

• Clinicians — nurses, social workers, physicians, and more — are critical in guiding patients toward effective, safer alternatives.

• Expanding the scope of THR across all levels of care helps normalize and legitimize its role in public health.

Elizabeth DeMartini, ARAC’s Lead Clinical Researcher, will attend this event to:

• Share insights on the role of clinicians in THR

• Engage with thought leaders, board members, key staff, and grantees

• Share perspectives on the importance of clinicians' roles in our space

• Explore collaborative, community-based solutions

We are grateful for the opportunity to form a partnership with Global Action to End Smoking (GA) collaborating on community-based approaches and program evaluations – normalizing and legitimizing tobacco harm reduction.

ARAC can add VALUE in program evaluation and community-based approaches to tobacco harm reduction. Such as:

• Program evaluation expertise: measuring impact of THR interventions

• Evidence-based approaches to inform policy and practice

• Strategies to combat misinformation and reach diverse populations

• Research on health equity, analyzing outcomes by race, income, and more

• Advocacy for reimbursement reform, ensuring clinicians are supported in tobacco treatment
